The workshop results from a collaboration between the research project 'Production and Reading of Music Sources' and the 'Cambridge Illuminations' research project.

Concentrating on illuminated music manuscripts from the late medieval and Renaissance periods, the workshop will consider questions of terminology, iconography, text identification, mise-en-page and manuscript description.

Speakers will include: Mara Hofmann, Deirdre Jackson, Christian Leitmeir, Stella Panayotova and Thomas Schmidt-Beste.
