International Who’s Who 2000
International Who’s Who 2000 is a directory of prominent figures currently active in a wide variety of fields around the world, from politics to the media, academia to commerce. It also includes full details of all current monarchs and heads of state.
Getting started
IWW 2000 is a CD-ROM which has been pre-installed on Reading Room computer 1 and is only available for use on that computer.
Click the icon labelled ** on the desktop. You will briefly see a small box displaying the IWW 2000 logo, and then the full home screen will open automatically.
The home screen displays a series of click buttons arranged around a logo:
- Help – access to the inbuilt ‘Help’ section of the resource
- Name search – simple search of surname index
- Extended search – search by one or more of a comprehensive range of search criteria, including profession, year of birth, education, career, etc.
- Royal families – shortcut to listings of reigning monarchs around the world
- Obituary list – shortcut to listings of individuals included in IWW 2000 whose deaths were noted after the completion of copy preparation
- Exit

IWW 2000 includes a detailed help section, accessible from the home screen via click button. You can also ask a librarian in the Reading Room for further assistance.
