Conradish.net provides full Russian literary texts in original language from some of the most prominent authors of the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, including Gogol and Pushkin. The site is aimed at English speakers wishing to read Russian literature in the target language but who need language support. The text is linked to an online dictionary displayed at the bottom of the screen. When the reader clicks on a word the dictionary definition will appear in the dictionary box.
The site was created by Chung Leong in 1997 under the title of Russian– English literatures exchange and held on a server at the University of California at Berkeley. It has since moved to a commercial server to allow for expansion, including the addition of longer works such as Anna Karenina by Tolstoy.
