The Warburg Institute is one of the world’s leading centres for studying the interaction of ideas, images and society. It is dedicated to the survival and transmission of culture across time and space, with a special emphasis on the afterlife of antiquity. The Warburg Institute is looking to appoint a part-time Conservator (0.5 FTE) on a fixed term 6-month contract.

The successful candidate will assist with the creation, development and implementation of a conservation strategy for the Warburg Institute Collections in collaboration with the Conservation Officer, the Archivist and the Librarian. They will also play an active role in preparing the Collections for the upcoming refurbishment project at the Institute and advise on conservation issues relating to the management, storage methods and handling of collections, including displays, exhibitions and external loans.
