Salary: starting at £21,398 per annum

Hours per week: 1x full-time at the Warburg Institute Library and 1x full-time split between the Warburg Institute Library and the Institute of Historical Research's Wohl Library

The Warburg Library is appointing two Graduate Library Trainees for the year 2020-2021. One of the posts will be split between the Institute of Historical Research's Wohl Library and the Warburg Institute Library and the other based solely at the Warburg Institute Library. These posts are designed for graduates carrying out a year of work experience and training prior to attending library school.

The trainees will gain specific sectional experience and skills as well as developing an overall understanding of the links between the different sections and how the library/libraries fits together as a whole. 

The successful candidates will have a competent level of IT skills (especially Word and Excel), good interpersonal skills, and will be able to work independently and as part of a small team. Some experience of customer service in any context would be an advantage, as well as an interest in one of the subjects served by the Library. Knowledge of a modern European language would be useful.

Applicants should hold a minimum of a 2:1 Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
