Salary: Starting from £35,807 per annum

The Warburg Institute is one of the world’s leading centres for studying the interaction of ideas, images and society. It is dedicated to the survival and transmission of culture across time and space, with a special emphasis on the afterlife of antiquity. Its open-stack Library, Photographic Collection and Archive serve as an engine for interdisciplinary research, postgraduate teaching and a prestigious events and publication programme.

Today, the Institute is embarking on a far-reaching architectural and intellectual transformation; to open this scholarly institution to new partners and publics to further cement its role as an international beacon for images, ideas and society.

A new role for a Development Manager has been created to manage the associated fundraising campaign. Working closely with the Director of the Institute the post will run programmes to secure funds from individuals, trusts, foundations, and other supporters.

The role is aligned with the University of London Development Office and will have a close working relationship with the Head of Development to ensure an integrated and effective fundraising campaign.

The successful candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of fundraising and some experience of securing large gifts. Just as important will be an entrepreneurial approach combined with excellent communication and planning skills with a focus to deliver results.

This is a fixed term appointment for two years in the first instance.
