Building Work Progresses

The 3rd and 4th floors are taking shape with electrical installations, decorations, doors and skirting all making good progress.

The cleaning and sealing of the roof is also complete.

The programme for Phase 1 has been extended due to the level of external work which has included stonework repairs as well as the planned cleaning of the brickwork and stone façades.

The main contractor, Quinn London – Heritage Division, will aim to make up the delays encountered in Phase 1 during Phases 2 and 3.

The end of Phase 1 will see the new 3rd and 4th floors ready for Institute use and the 2nd and 1st floors vacated ready for fitting-out in Phase 2 from February 2023. The installation of pilings in the courtyard to support the new extension in the courtyard will commence in January 2023.
