Continuing its activities during the current period of physical closure, the Warburg Institute offers an online extension to the Late Medieval and Renaissance Latin Beginners' class in the Summer Term 2020. 

This course is designed to train students to read and understand late Medieval and Renaissance documents, and is a continuation of the beginners' classes from the Autumn and Spring terms. The focus will be on grammar and vocabulary, and on the forms taken by commonly used documents, as well as their texts. 

New students are welcome to join the course, but will be expected to have a basic grasp of the language, including nouns, adjectives and active and passive indicative verb forms. 

Registration and payment (for 10 online classes taught across one term): 

  • Warburg Institute students: £75
  • School of Advanced Study staff and students, and Warburg Institue staff and fellows: £112.50
  • LAHP-funded students (non-SAS): £135
  • Standard rate: £225
