Description

In 2020-2021 the Warburg Institute offers a new eight-session online reading course in Classical Greek for advanced level students. It is a text-based course, and the focus in Term 1 (Autumn 2020) will be Sophocles' Philoctetes. Students will be expected to prepare passages in advance, which we will then read together, and discuss, taking into account literary, linguistic and contextual perspectives. The recommended edition is T.B.L. Webster (Cambridge, 1970).

Registration and payment (for 8 classes across the Autumn Term):
  • Warburg students, staff and fellows: £75
  • School of Advanced Study students, staff and fellows: £90
  • LAHP-funded students (non-SAS): £90
  • Standard rate: £160
