The Warburg Institute continues its new online reading course in Classical Greek for advanced level students with a further eight sessions in the Spring Term 2021.
This is a text-based course, and we will continue with Sophocles' Philoctetes which we started last term. Students will be expected to prepare passages in advance, which we will then read together, and discuss, taking into account literary, linguistic and contextual perspectives. The recommended edition is T.B.L. Webster (Cambridge, 1970).
