Description

The Warburg Institute continues its new online reading course in Classical Greek for advanced level students with a further eight sessions in the Spring Term 2021.

This is a text-based course, and we will continue with Sophocles' Philoctetes which we started last term. Students will be expected to prepare passages in advance, which we will then read together, and discuss, taking into account literary, linguistic and contextual perspectives. The recommended edition is T.B.L. Webster (Cambridge, 1970).

Registration and payment (for 8 classes across the Spring Term):
  • Warburg students, staff and fellows: £75
  • School of Advanced Study students, staff and fellows: £90
  • LAHP-funded students (non-SAS): £90
  • Standard rate: £160

Schedule:
Mondays, 18 January - 15 March 2021 (excluding 15 February)
10.30-11.30
Tutor: Dr Lucy Nicholas
Via Zoom

Please contact Dr Lucy Nicholas if you have questions about the content of the course: lucy.nicholas@sas.ac.uk
