Short Course

The Warburg Institute continues its new online reading course in Classical Greek for advanced level students with a further eight sessions in the Summer Term 2021. 

This is a text-based course focussing this term on Homer’s Iliad, Book 24 The recommended edition is Colin Macleod (Cambridge Greek and Latin Classics, 2008).  Students will be expected to prepare passages in advance, which we will then read together, and discuss, taking into account literary, linguistic and contextual perspectives.

Registration and payment for 8 classes across the Summer Term [NB: we can offer a 10% discount for continuing students]:

  • Warburg students, staff and fellows: £75 [10% £67.50]
  • School of Advanced Study students, staff and fellows: £90 [10% £81]
  • LAHP-funded students (non-SAS): £90 [10% £81]
  • Standard rate: £160 [10% £144]
