Course tutor: Matthew Coneys (Warburg Institute)

The Warburg Institute offers Introduction to Renaissance Italian as a virtual class via Zoom over five intensive days: Mon-Fri 16 - 20 September 2024, 11am - 1.00pm & 2.00 - 3.00pm each day. 

The course is designed for students who already possess a solid understanding of modern Italian. It will introduce the grammar, vocabulary and orthography of Renaissance Italian, with the aim of helping students to navigate a broad range of textual sources produced between the fourteenth and seventeenth centuries. It is designed as a complement and preface to our two-term Renaissance Italian Advanced course, which runs between October and March.
