Henry Bradshaw (1831-1886), former Librarian of Cambridge University Library, has long been recognised for his contributions to bibliographical scholarship. He was also, however, a prolific book collector with a life-long interest in Irish print, history and literature. This talk examines his collecting practices from the 1850s to 1886, and explores connections in the book trade between Ireland and England through Bradshaw’s library-building.
