Extensions
Students may apply for an extension for a pressing reason (extensions are normally granted for medical reasons). A request for an extension must be made using the ‘Apply for an Extension Form’ (download available below) submitted with relevant supporting evidence to Peter Lin, Institute Manager, peter.lin@sas.ac.uk.
Requests will be considered by the Convenors of the Warburg Institute MA Programmes, and the Institute Manager.
Please note: depending on when you submit your request you may not hear whether your request has been approved prior to the deadline.
If the request is not approved and you do not hand the assessed work in by the deadline it will be subject to penalties (see below).
Mitigating Circumstances
If you are unable to request an extension by the deadline you may retrospectively apply for mitigating circumstances to be considered in regard to your late submission. Please see the Quality Assurance Framework available at: https://www.sas.ac.uk/about-us/policies. Please note that this is a SAS committee that meets once a year, before the Examination Board, and is out of the Warburg’s control.
