The Warburg Institute is known throughout the world for its expertise in the study of cultural history and the role of images in culture.  The Warburg Institute Library is ranked amongst the twenty libraries of all time which have changed the world; its Photographic Collection houses an unprecedented collection of photographs organized by subject matter.

The Role

The Warburg Institute seeks an Art Historian in Italian art, 1300-1700, to convene the Institute’s MA in the History of Art, Curatorship and Renaissance Culture. The successful applicant will also teach the core module of the MA, Image to Action, and contribute to the teaching and administration of the taught MA programmes offered by the Institute.

The position is a fixed term maternity cover for eight months (to 31 December 2018) in the first instance. The successful candidate will be expected to commence in the role no later than 7 May 2018
