Our joint postdoctoral fellowship on “Spirituality and the Arts” is now open for applications!

This unique academic opportunity is a partnership between the Warburg Institute, Harvard University, and the Centre for the History of Hermetic Philosophy and Related Currents (Amsterdam).

The fellowship is primarily based at Harvard University's Center for the Study of World Religions (CSWR), but also includes research stays of up to two months at the two partner institutions: the Warburg Institute (London) and the Centre for the History of Hermetic Philosophy and Related Currents at the University of Amsterdam.

The selected candidate will embark on a research project that aligns with the CSWR's “Transcendence and Transformation” initiative. This initiative seeks to explore and understand the ways in which spiritual and artistic practices intersect and how they contribute to personal and communal transformation. The fellow will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the diverse collections, resources, and scholarly communities of the partner institutions, gaining unique insights and perspectives on their research topic.
