The Warburg Institute is seeking a tutor to teach one course of English Palaeography to postgraduate students on the Warburg Institute’s MA Programmes.

The course will consist of two-hour weekly seminars and will run over two terms of ten weeks each. The course could require two groups of teaching depending on recruitment numbers. English Palaeography will provide postgraduate students with training in reading medieval and early modern script. It will be tailored as far as possible to the needs of the students in the group.

The course will require one revision session in the summer term. The successful candidate will also be responsible for setting and marking both a mock exam and the final exam paper.

Remuneration will be at Level 7 of the University of London’s pay scale, which will be the pro-rata equivalent of £41,156, so £22.55/hour.

The contract runs from 26 September 2022 – 31 May 2023 with the pay spread across the period in equal monthly amounts.
