The Warburg Institute is seeking an Institute Manager at an important moment in its history. The Institute is now enrolling record numbers of students, and its exhibition partnerships and public programmes are helping it to reach new audiences. Finally, thanks to a successful capital campaign, the Warburg Renaissance is now underway: this £14.5m building project (due to be completed in December 2023) will enhance the Institute’s academic resources and teaching spaces and create new facilities for special collections, displays, and events.

The role

The Institute Manager manages and co-ordinates the day to day running of the Institute, leads the central administration and line manages the functions which sit in the administrative office.

The Institute Manager serves as a member of the Warburg Institute’s Senior Management Team and equivalent committees at the School of Advanced Study; facilitates the operational and strategic planning for the Institute; monitors financial performance in terms of financial controls and internal processes; and oversees the management of the Institute’s main areas of activity, such as teaching and training, events, communications, publications and visiting fellowships.
