Warburg Institute Colloquia
The books in our Colloquia series represent the published proceedings of Warburg Institute conferences. Each volume consists mainly or entirely of papers presented at a Warburg conference, then developed and reworked by their authors in communication with the editor(s). The collected essays are then peer-reviewed and, finally, edited and indexed for publication.
The subject matter for Colloquia volumes follows the Warburg Institute’s primary focus on the ways in which European intellectual and cultural history has been shaped by the transmission of ideas, mores and religious practices, through texts and images, from classical antiquity to the early modern period.
