Careers guidance
We are dedicated to supporting the career and personal development of our students and graduates. The Institute and the School of Advanced Study offer careers guidance and support from the SAS Careers Service, who are part of The Careers Group, University of London.
Support ranges from:
- 1-2-1 appointments with careers experts
- Interview practice
- CV/application writing
- Workshops on a number of topics, such as ‘Getting a Post-Doc’
- Careers Cafes for students across all SAS Institutes to have informal discussions about career related topics.
- Access to online careers resources
We also hold careers events at the Institute and will update this page with any upcoming events for students.
Also, check out the SAS Careers Resources on SAS StudyOnline. As well as the weekly SAS vacancies bulletin uploaded every Wednesday (targeted to the careers sectors you tell us that you are interested in and including part-time work, insight days, internships and graduate trainee schemes) you can access Labour Market briefings on sectors such as Publishing and the Book Trade, Academia and Education and Governance, Compliance and Regulation. And helpsheets on topics such as CVs, Applications, Interviews, LinkedIn and Social Media.
