A gift in your will

The Warburg Institute has been allowed to flourish and prosper as a direct result of the generosity of past legacies

By including The Warburg Institute among the beneficiaries mentioned in your Will, you can play a direct role in ensuring our long-term success and security. Past legacies have been a major contributing factor towards helping The Warburg Institute to flourish, and they allow one to leave a lasting memory which will be shared by all those who appreciate the history of images in culture, art and sciences.

Your solicitor can best advise you how to include the Warburg Institute in your Will, and we would be happy to work with either or both of you to suggest wording. As charitable gifts are deducted from the value of your estate before tax liability is calculated, a gift made in this way could reduce the total amount of tax liable on your estate. An existing Will can be amended with a codicil to reflect a change in your wishes.

If you have already left a gift to The Warburg Institute in your Will, or if you are considering doing so, please let us know by emailing us at warburg@sas.ac.uk. If you are interested in directing your gift to a specific purpose, we would strongly recommend that you contact us to discuss this, so that we are able to fulfil your intentions. All discussions will of course be private and confidential.
