New Post-doctoral Fellowship funded by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation

The Warburg Institute is seeking to appoint a post-doctoral research fellow associated with its newly established Professorship in the History of Art, Science and Folk Practice, funded by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. This is a two-year position, with an emphasis both on developing the candidate’s own research and on collaborating on interdisciplinary projects under way at the Warburg Institute.

The International Research Group “Bilderfahrzeuge: Aby Warburg’s Legacy and the Future of Iconology”, supported by the German Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung invites applications for several full-time research posts (in principle post-doctoral) based at the Warburg Institute in London, the Warburg-Haus in Hamburg and at the Humboldt Universität zu Berlin for up to five years from July 2018 or as soon as possible thereafter.  Closing date: Monday 30th April 2018. Sad passing of Dr Thomas Frangenberg

The Institute has been saddened to learn of the death, on Monday 12th March, of Dr Thomas Frangenberg, Reader in Art History at the University of Leicester from 1990 to 2017.
